Establishing the EDI Link with Origination Software
An Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) link can be established between borrower information in CERTAIN loan origination systems OR other systems capable of exporting in an ASCII format file. Your servicing program has the ability to import approximately 90% of the fields necessary to automatically setup a new account by performing an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) link with your origination program (Note: servicing programs have certain needed fields that are not usually contained in an origination program; thus, the 90% figure mentioned). Listed below are the fields that are available via the EDI Link from the origination programs listed below.
Address/Collateral
Borrower
Co-borrower
Appraisal
Loan Type
Payment Period
Interest Basis
Original Balance
Current Balance
Interest Rate
Term
Balloon Due
Balloon Amount
Loan Closing Date
After you have exported the borrower's account (if so required) please refer to the following section for more details on the loan input process:Enter a New Loan Via EDI Link
The following nationally prominent loan origination systems have EDI capability with your loan servicing system.

We certainly appreciate these companies establishing and providing means to export your borrower information to your loan servicing system. Approximately 90% of the fields in the New Loan Setup function will be automatically filled in. Naturally, there are fields in all servicing programs that are not traditionally in origination programs.
Should you have another loan origination program AND it has the ability to export borrower field information in an ASCII/Text format AND in a certain order, please refer to our HELP topic: FILE FORMAT - Standard Import for additional information. If you would like us to contact your loan origination software company to provide similar EDI links, please contact the Help Desk (1-800-326-4112)
Lastly, should you wish to setup MULTIPLE loans at the same time, please refer to the topic:Transferring Loans From an Existing Servicing System . Yes, procedures in this topic CAN be used if your origination software can export information in an ASCII/Text format AND you can provide the additional 20% of information needed by the program to setup a loan. Again, please call the Help Desk if you or your computer department has any questions.
